Why Octobilly?

We wanted a name that reflects intelligence, adaptability, and efficiency—everything we stand for. The ‘Octo’ comes from the octopus, a remarkably smart and resourceful creature, just like our approach to finding you the best deals. ‘Billy’ adds a touch of personality—because while we take saving seriously, we believe it doesn’t have to be boring, and we're a big fan of the occasional pun!

Simply input your details, compare available deals, and switch to a better plan—all in a few clicks. The more details you give us, the more of your bills we can help you manage. We aim to simplify how you manage your bills, letting you know the best time to switch, and making it easier to do so.

But, sometimes switching isn't right for you, and uniquely, we'll tell you to stay put when it makes sense to do so. We're not incentivised to encourage you to switch, just to give you all the details so that you can be happy with your choice.

Currently we are not quite ready yet. But very soon we will have the option to compare prices for all waste management, energy suppliers, TV and broadband. We will also notify you when contracts are ending, when and how to cancel.

We have plans to roll out many more options in the coming months.

Yes, you can use our service for free. We don’t earn a commission from providers when you switch, so this doesn’t affect your prices. The prices we show, are the prices that are available to everyone, we just make it a lot easier to check and compare.

Most price comparison websites operate in collaboration with suppliers, taking commissions. This means that they will only show prices of suppliers they have arrangements with, and also, they will operate in the interest of suppliers more than you, the customer. They also do not make any money if you do not switch, our interests are only in providing you with all the information and making it easy to switch should it be in your interest. We're just as happy if you decide to stay as you are, if you are!

Using our site saves you time and money by comparing multiple providers in one place, ensuring you get the best deal for your needs. In Ireland are 30+ bin suppliers, 15 energy suppliers, 13 broadband providers. You can go to all of these and get the prices yourself, we just do a lot of that work for you and provide them in an easy to compare format. We are also building some useful AI tools that allow you to upload your current bills for analysis to allow us to recommend the best fits for you.

We make money in two ways, we have targeted ads on our websites, and have a subscription service that is currently under development. We do not take any commissions from any suppliers on our website, as we wish to remain impartial when displaying prices to you.

We run frequent checks of all prices to ensure our quotes are up-to-date and accurate based on the information you provide. We are new and learning, so please let us know if you spot something we're missed, and we'll get it updated.
